Apartment style living in a community that fosters socialization and activities. Most strive for offering resources and assistance in maintaining the dignity and independence of the seniors quality of life.

Alzheimer’s/Dementia - Memory Care

Special facilities or units that provide extra training and care for people suffering from various stages of memory loss. Offers safe and accommodating environment with programs structured around Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care. 

Nursing Centers- Skilled Nursing Facilities

Facilities licensed by the department of health to provide skilled medical care for people needing 24 hour nursing care, rehabilitative services, and transitional care after a hospital stay.

Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC)

A campus built for seniors that offer a combination of services needed: independent living, memory care, assisted living, and skilled nursing care. Developed to offer multiple levels of care to seniors to accommodate a wide variety of care needs.

Residential Care

Also known as board and care facilities. Referred to by the state as Residential Care for Elderly. Usually single family homes licensed to provide assistance with personal care needs daily.
